As an adult who experienced the flawed foster care system from the ages 11 to 17. It is refreshing to see someone bold enough to tackle the hard issues that have plagued the system. With " Every 10th Starfish" you can begin to understand foster cares ups and downs and exactly what the experience in the system entails. You also recieve the reality that is often hidden in foster care. I appreciate this book for it's candidness this book is an essential read for anyone involved in the foster care system and for all others who wish to grasp the true experience of the foster care system.
